Double Nickels

I am 55 years young

This is the body I was born into
I am so grateful for it
It's a pretty great place 
for my soul to live

I don't always take the best care of it
But I try
I'm still learning as I go

I have some wisdom
accumulated
as the nickels stack up

My body is wise
My soul knows

We are all bits of stardust
We are golden beams of light

You and I
We are the same

Out of the cosmos
We traveled
And landed here
 
For just the briefest of moments
The blink of an eye

We dance
We pray
We love
We give birth

And start the cycle over again

for bringing me here
to dwell
and do my best
